The Xbox One is finally (FINALLY!) arriving in South Africa next week Tuesday. That, for all of our epoch impaired readers, is the 23rd of September. That date couldn’t be better if Microsoft South Africa had tried, because Wednesday 24 September is a public holiday. Hooray, new console and the following day off work/school to vegetate in front of the TV!

Microsoft’s Graeme “Acey Bongos” Boyd has recorded a personal message for all South African Xbox fans. Mr. Bongos even took the time to learn some local words. We can all feel extra smug and special because according to Microsoft South Africa, we’re the only country in the world that has received a personal “welcome to the Xbox One family” video message.

Check it out after the jump.

So, who is picking up an Xbox One next week Tuesday? Let us know in the comments.
