Remember when Disney Infinity was first announced? If anyone ever had anything bad to say about the game, there would always be that one cool guy in the room telling them to “just wait until the Marvel figures come out.” Well that cool guy was right. Hit the jump to see how.
Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes is the first game under the Disney Infinity: 2.0 Edition banner, and like the name suggests will bring Marvel characters to the Infinity stable. So far the mechanics look identical to regular Infinity. Place figure on sensor, see figure appear in-game, re-enact childhood digitally. Good fun all around. The new line will include heroes from the Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy and Spider-Man franchises, and its launch neatly coincides with rAge 2014.
If you want to give the new game and characters a try, head over to Prima Interactive at stand 36. You’ll know it’s the right one from the 10 demo stations available and the six life-sized cut-outs of Marvel characters. Officially confirmed via email, these cut-outs allow for “superhero selfies”.
A game like Disney Infinity naturally comes with a steep price tag, so a chance to play this will help you decide whether or not to get into the series. However, I’m planning on giving this a try, so you’ll have to wait your turn.
