The Witcher 3 has been delayed… again

How’s this for timing: after having just been voted for by fans as the most anticipated upcoming game, developer CD Projekt has announced another delay in the release of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. The open-world role-playing game was slated for a 24 February 2015 release after an initial delay from its 2014 release date. The new release date is now 19 May 2015.

The extra three months will provide CD Projekt with more time to polish code and squash bugs. The delay was announced via an open letter from the board of CD PRojekt. “We owe you an apology,” the letter read, “we set the release date too hastily. It’s a hard lesson, one to take to heart for the future. We know what we want to do to make Wild Hunt one of the best RPGs you will ever play. And we continue to work hard to achieve just that. So, we apologize and ask for your trust.”

On the bright side: at least we all have the most excellent Dragon Age: Inquisition to scratch that open-world RPG itch until then.
