If recent RPGs haven’t scratched that itch for old-school role-playing adventure, then maybe the recently announced Sword Coast Legends will.
Currently in development at Digital Extremes and n-Space, Legends will be an isometric party-based RPG with support for 1-4 players. You know, just like in the good old days.

Helming the project is n-Space director Dan Tudge, who previously directed Dragon Age: Origins. The main campaign will take players on an adventure to “explore and defend the Sword Coast”. Also announced was a Dungeon Master mode, that will allow DMs to create scenarios and set up monsters and other challenges for players to face. Players will also be able to create a character by choosing from five races and six classes. Authenticity also seems to be emphasised, and the developers promise that the game will have a great deal of Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition lore and monsters.
Sword Coast Legends is set to launch in Q3 2015, exclusive to PC. Pre-orders are available, and there are also discounts if you want to buy keys for your friends. We’ll keep you informed as more details come out, but be sure to check out their website (link below) to look at all the pretty pictures.
