If you’re eager to get rid of your old, aging Xbox 360 controller (just kidding, mine is still fantastic), then you’ll be happy to hear that Microsoft is promising a wireless adapter for their Xbox One controllers for computers that will be coming later this year. This will probably also result in a controller bundle with the wireless dongle and a play and charge kit. The Xbox 360 play and charge kit costs around R260, while the wireless controller for PC is around R500 from both online and walk-in retailers, so we could expect a Wireless Xbox One controller for PC bundle to fetch about R800-R900. The Xbox One controller currently requires it to be tethered via USB, even though the controller itself is wireless. If you’re interested in getting a controller in the meantime, a Takealot special drops the R749 RRP to just R579, but I’m not sure how long that will last.
