Deus Ex: Mankind Divided revealed a little early; official reveal later today

After a day or two of teasing, information regarding the next instalment in the Deus Ex series has been leaked online. A Russian website (cached) jumped the gun and uploaded alleged screenshots. Shortly after that, however, Game Informer revealed that their next cover story is indeed Deus Ex: Mankind Divided – a direct sequel to 2011’s incredible Deus Ex: Human Revolution.

Set two years after the events of the previous game, players will once again take on the role of augmented badass Adam Jensen. This time, Jensen will be working for an Interpol-funded group that is tasked with tracking down augmented terrorists across the globe.

Naturally, the series’ staple of first-person shooting and stealth will make a return. The narrative will be player choice-driven once again, and you can expect a bunch of new augmented upgrades for Jensen to stuff into his squishy pink bits. Also those awesome Nano Blades from the previous game make a return, only this time we get to shoot them at people.

There’s still no release date for the game, but it’s heading to PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Publisher Square Enix has promised a full reveal today, which will take place at 18:00 local South African time.
