Deus Ex: Mankind Divided’s PC version outsourced; won’t be developed by Eidos

The official Twitter account for Deus Ex has confirmed that franchise developer Eidos Montréal will not be handling development of the PC version for recently revealed Mankind Divided. Instead, PC development is being handed over to external company Nixxes Software.

This is not the first time that alternate versions of Square Enix franchises have been handed to Nixxes: the company was behind the PC and PlayStation 4 versions of Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition. They’re also currently working on the Xbox 360 version of Rise of the Tomb Raider.

“Nixxes Software is proud to announce that we’re working on Deus Ex: Mankind Divided for PC,” the development team announced on their official website. “We have teamed up with our long term partners at Eidos-Montréal to create the best experience for Adam Jensen’s latest adventure, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided on PC.” Nixxes will be bringing PC-exclusive features to their version of the game. Whether that means graphics customisation options or game content is not confirmed, but it’s likely the former.
