After a string of rumours and hints, we’ve finally got an official confirmation: Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 will be shredding onto PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One later this year. Hit the jump for more words and pictures.
Currently in development at Robomodo and Disruptive Games, the game is promising to return to its classic gameplay but with some new elements such as power-ups and projectiles (I’m hoping for graffiti-cannons). A returning feature from American Wasteland is the ability to create and share your own skate parks, so I foresee endless videos of these hitting YouTube in the future. One niggle is that offline co-op doesn’t seem to be a feature, although online co-op has been confirmed. There isn’t a concrete release date, but the game is expected on PS4 and XBO later this year, with a version for PS3 and 360 sometime after that.
Wait a sec… We’re getting a new Tony Hawk, Guitar Hero, Rock Band, and there’s still no mention of Half-Life 3? Congratulations guys, time-travel works and we’re all living in 2010 now.
