The director of Mass Effect 3 has joined Microsoft’s HoloLens

In August last year, Casey Hudson, the director of BioWare’s Mass Effect 3 and longtime BioWare/EA executive, left the company. It has now been revealed that he will be joining Microsoft and relocating from Canada to the company’s HQ in Redmond. He will be taking on the role of creative director at Microsoft Studios.

Hudson will be responsible for “driving a creative focus” for Xbox and Windows games. However, that won’t be his primary area: he will be intrinsically involved in the continued development of Microsoft’s awesome-looking HoloLens. Hudson will be focused on developing HoloLens Experiences for the upcoming device.

“I am extremely passionate about the potential of this kind of technology, as anyone who’s talked with me over the last couple of years can attest,” Hudson said in a press release shared on Xbox Wire. “I feel that the work being done at Microsoft on mixed reality and holographic computing will have a tremendous impact on how all of us interact with technology in the coming years.”
