There’s a new Humble Bundle doing the rounds, and this time they’ve surprised us all by featuring games for Nintendo systems. Dubbed the Humble Nindie Bundle, it’s the first time they’ve ever offered console games, and they’re talking about continuing the trend in future.
Collaborating with the Nintendo eShop, the games on show are all indies and feature on both the Wii U and 3DS. There’s pay-what-you-want deals for Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition for the Wii U, as well as Woah Dave! and Mighty Switch Force!, both for the 3DS. If you beat the average price, you’ll also snag The Fall for Wii U, Moon Chronicles for the 3DS and OlliOlli for both systems. Pay at least $10 and you’ll also unlock Stealth Inc. 2 for Wii U and SteamWorld Dig for both consoles. More titles will be revealed as the promotion wears on.
Now the bad news. It’s region-locked, so the games are only redeemable in the Americas, with the obvious exception of Brazil. Still, it’s good to see the Humble Bundle trying new approaches, and even better that Nintendo is trying to promote indies. Hopefully one day those of us living on the African continent will also be able to get in on the action.
