After a surprise reveal at EA’s Live to Play conference, Mass Effect: Andromeda already has a few details for fans to go on. Hit the jump for the best news in the Citadel.

As you can tell by the subtitle, the game will be taking place in the Andromeda galaxy. Astronomy nerds will recognise that that’s the nearest major galaxy to our own.

Moving along, the details for the game came from Bioware’s blog, and don’t go into too much detail. Once again you’ll be playing as a human male or female, and Bioware confirms that the character you see in the teaser trailer will not be the main character. Regardless, the gameplay will consist of building your multi-species A-Team and exploring new and deadly worlds. An updated Mako has also been confirmed, and can be briefly seen in the trailer.

Mass Effect: Andromeda is due for a holiday 2016 release, for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. We’ll bring you more details as they emerge.
