Uncharted 4 is out on 18 March 2016

Sony Computer Entertainment and developer Naughty Dog have revealed that Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End will be released on 18 March 2016. A PlayStation 4 exclusive, Uncharted 4 sees players taking control of a much older Nathan Drake as he continues to blow up nearly every building and car he gets near, all in the name of finding treasure. Hooray!

Naturally there’s a bunch of different versions of the game depending on how deep your pockets go. Furthermore, as is the norm, Sony has revealed loads of pre-order incentives and retailer-exclusive pre-order bonus content because puke. (Aaaaah! Make it stop!)

For those of you who like your special editions to come with statues and really long official titles, then Sony and Naughty Dog have you covered with the Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End Libertalia Collector’s Edition.

The Libertallia edition comes with a 12” statue of Nathan Drake (with half-tucked shirt!), a hardcover art book, a Steelbook case, a bunch of additional multiplayer character and gun skins, and something called “Naughty Dog Points”, which we’re told is an in-game currency for the multiplayer portion. Brace for multiplayer microtransactions, folks. This edition will cost $120, which is about R1, 600.00.

If that’s too rich for you, then there’s a cheaper Special Edition that comes with the Steelbook case, the art book, some stickers, and those aforementioned Naughty Dog Points.

And yes, there’s a Digital Deluxe Edition for those of you who are opposed to physical copies of games. That’ll come with multiplayer skins, Naughty Dog Points, and something called the “Uncharted 4 Triple Pack”. That Triple Pack sounds like a Season Pass, as it bundles two sets of multiplayer DLC and a piece of single-player story DLC. So yeah, it’s basically a Season Pass, and it’ll be made available separately as well.

If you’re really interested to see what pre-order bits and bobs are packaged with specific US retailers (which very often end up with certain of our local online retailers) then you can head over to the PlayStation Blog.
