Hey! Do YOU enjoy spending exorbitant amounts of money on cutting-edge gaming console hardware, so that you can play video games from 15 years ago? Well then, my friend, have I got news for you: according to a PEGI rating, it looks like a couple of PlayStation 2 classics are about to start popping up on PlayStation 4.
PEGI, the European game rating classification board, has listed Ape Escape 2, Dark Cloud 2 (aka Dark Chronicle), and Twisted Metal: Black as coming to PlayStation 4. It’s hoped that this is the start of an avalanche of older games appearing on Sony’s current console.
You bought Shadow of the Colossus on PlayStation 2; then you bought the remastered edition for PlayStation 3. And now you’re totally going to buy it again again on PlayStation 4 because it’s the best game ever made and the thought of not being able to play it on everything Sony is enough to make you want to nail your tongue to a table every morning at breakfast.
I’m just using this as an example because that’s how I’m going to justify buying Shadow of the Colossus for a third time. Note that there’s been no word of the game appearing on PlayStation 4, but with The Last Guardian finally (FINALLY!) coming to PlayStation 4 in the future, now would be a good time for Sony to crank out some further Team ICO sales, no?
