In a recent update to the Battlefront blog, Community Manager Mathew Everett revealed some great details about the upcoming beta for the rabidly-anticipated Star Wars Battlefront. Hit the jump to find out more; luckily no Bothans died to bring us this information.
The best news about the beta is that it will be open to all, and available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and via Origin on PC. Further details confirmed that the beta will consist of solo, split-screen, and online multiplayer, and will let players fight it out on Hoth (like we saw at E3), on Sullust in the newly-announced Drop Zone mode (like King of the Hill), and on Tatooine in Survival Mission mode. Survival Mode can be played solo, or with a friend, either splitscreen or online.
Presently, the beta date hasn’t been confirmed yet, but previous blog posts point towards early October 2015. We’ll tell you as soon as we know, and it’s likely that most of NAG Online will be trying out the beta too. [Holy womp rat balls, yes. – Ed]
