And if I’ve played my subconscious cards right, you should have a Jamiroquai song in your head. Do you? Did I headline-ception you?
Rise of the Tomb Raider is rebooted Lara’s next outing! It promises to feature a more headstrong Lara, more animals to murder, and actual tombs that need raiding. That’s all great news, unless you’re an animal.
Long-time Tomb Raider fans are likely very excited at the prospect of puzzle tombs returning to the franchise, and this new trailer seems as if it’s been tailor-made for you lot. Some of these tombs are looking amazing as they offer tantalising glimpses of exactly what it is this rebequel (reboot sequel – I just made that up; give it a while and I’m sure the Internet will catch on) will be about.
Check out the new trailer below; it tells us that Lara is one of the “pioneers who [will] define the future of mankind,” which again is great news… unless you’re a snow leopard meeting the business end of Lara’s bow. Shame.
Rise of the Tomb Raider is out on Xbox 360 and Xbox One on 13 November 2015, which is right around the time that nearly every other big AAA game comes out because publishers forgot there are 364 other days in a year. If you want it on PC, then you have to wait until the first quarter of 2016. And if you’re holding out for PlayStation 4 then, well, sorry for you it’s only out at the end of 2016 because “timed exclusivity deals” are all the rage.
