Star Wars Endor battle

Wow, we’ve been covering a lot of Star Wars Battlefront news lately, haven’t we? It can’t be helped – we’re hugely excited about the game. EA has revealed the dates for its upcoming public beta: October 8th to October 12th. Hit the button for more details.

At time of this writing, the beta’s exact starting time hasn’t been confirmed, but EA says it will depend on local time zones and platform. The download size for the beta will be roughly 7GB on PS4 and Xbox One, and 11GB on PC. Pre-downloading will be possible on October 7th, but only on PC (try not to be too smug about it). The PC beta will show up on Origin in the Demos & Betas section. Console gamers can find it on PSN and the Xbox Marketplace.

Want even more details? Well, the beta caps players at level five, and experience earned will not be transferable to the final version. Check out this previous news piece for more details about playable levels.

There’s one more thing to mention. The beta runs from the 8th to the 12th, right? Do any of you bright sparks know what’s running from the 9th to the 11th? That’s right – the beta for this highly anticipated game happens to coincide with rAge 2015, so take three guesses what game a large chunk of the NAG LAN will be playing.
