Another year, another rAge, and another round of pun-tastic headlines. 2015 sees the rAge debut of Airsoft HQ, a local company that caters to the growing airsoft market. Continue reading to learn more about them and what they’re bringing to their first-ever rAge expo.
Airsoft is a modern warfare-emulating sport where competitors take to a battlefield kitted out with extremely detailed replicas of firearms. These airsoft guns fire 6mm airsoft pellets (which are similar to BB bullets) and range from high-capacity light machine guns to bolt-action rifles capable of hitting a target at 120 metres. According to an airsoft enthusiast I once met in Canada, these firearms operate and kick much like a real one, except they fire a non-lethal pellet.
Cool, right? The folks at Airsoft HQ hope you think so too. They believe that airsoft will provide an adrenaline fix to fans of modern-military shooters who want to try something new, yet familiar. If this sounds right up your alley, be sure to check out their stand. There’ll be airsoft guns on display and Airsoft HQ representatives will be happy to answer any questions you’ve got. Also, Airsoft HQ will be giving away tickets to the value of R250 for an upcoming 13-hour airsoft game being held in Gauteng. It’s taking place on a 23-hectare plot of land featuring four different environments, each of which looks like it could be a Call of Duty map.
Find Airsoft HQ at stand number 38. rAge 2015 will be running from October 9th to the 11th at the Ticketpro Dome. You can get your tickets here or at the door.
