Now, bear in mind this isn’t an official announcement, so don’t get too excited just yet. Still, it would be a superb chance for the Halo games to recapture a PC audience after being an Xbox exclusive for so many years.
Microsoft’s Halo franchise director Frank O’Connor said during a GamesRadar livesteam that “there is plenty of chance that Halo 5 could appear on the PC”. However, he stressed that there’s “nothing to announce at this point, but it’s absolutely within the bounds of reason”. He also elaborated that, since the game was developed on an Intel platform, it wouldn’t be too difficult to move it across to the PC.
Halo has been conspicuously absent from the PC ecosystem ever since the second entry in the series back in 2004. Halo 5: Guardians will be released on the Xbox One on the 27th of October.
