Seems like everybody and their GOG (ha!) are having a sale at the moment. The digital distribution landscape has changed quite a bit over the years, with websites like GOG.com, Humble Bundle, and even EA’s Origin going up against everyone’s favourite digital distribution behemoth, Steam.

GOG.com is now throwing a Big Winter Sale. GOG is the home to The Witcher 3, which you can bag for $30 (R430 Randelas) if you haven’t already picked it up. The first helping of DLC is also going for cheap, at $9 (R130), which is a bargain for the amount of content it adds. Also, the excellent, locally produced point-and-click adventure game Stasis is on special for R180.

There are also $3 mystery boxes to buy. Basically you fling $3 at GOG.com and they’ll give you a game that’s guaranteed to be valued between $9.99 and $34.99. These games “are not part of the regular sale lineup” and games that aren’t in your GOG library will be prioritised. Sounds like gambling, only more fun!
