The next two episodes in Ubisoft’s spin-off series Assassin’s Creed Chronicles will hit consoles in early 2016, as announced by a UbiBlog post. Along with solid release dates, Ubisoft also revealed some gorgeous screenshots and tasty storyline details. Hit the button for more details.
The first title will be ACC: India, launching on January 12th, 2016. The game will star Arbaaz Mir on a quest to protect his family while also looking for a powerful artefact. Taking place in 1841, Ubisoft says that a conflict between the Sikh Empire and the East India Company will set the game’s stage. However, as you history buffs well know, 1841 also saw the Sino-Sikh War, which led to a Chinese occupation of Tibet. So maybe that will feature as well?
Following that will be ACC: Russia, hitting screens on February 9th. This one stars Nikolai Orelov, an Assassin who’s trying to retire from the Brotherhood. He gets sent on one last mission, hijinks ensue, and he becomes the caretaker of princess Anastasia. Musicals and talking bats are not confirmed at this time. Visually, ACC: Russia looks far more distinct, with a striking palette of dull greys and reds, making it look like a patriotic propaganda poster.
Each title will be available separately on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Individually, each chronicle costs $9.99, but the complete series, which includes ACC: China, will also be available for $29.99. The blog post mentions retail editions, so it’s very likely that there will be a physical copy for sale. Also, the complete bundle launches on PS Vita on April 5th 2016.
