In a very brief message on the developer’s website, Bungie’s Board of Directors has announced that company president Harold Ryan has left. Ryan has been with Bungie since 2000 in the roles of Chairman of the Board, President, and Studio Head.
Ryan is being replaced by Pete Parsons, who is taking up the position of CEO. “I want to personally thank Harold for his friendship, passion, hard work, and dedication in helping make Bungie the great company it is today,” Parsons wrote in the news release, “As a team, we celebrated many victories and weathered many storms.”
In September last year, it surfaced that Ryan had been part of the reason why Destiny composer (and longtime Bungie member and co-founder) Marty O’ Donnell has been fired.
