Just Cause 3 DLC looks insane, yet oddly at home in Just Cause 3

Just Cause 3 is set to receive its first helping of a three-part DLC package. We’ve known about it for a while, but now we get to see it. The Season Pass is known as the “Air, Land and Sea Expansion Pass”, and the first dollop of content will focus on that “Air” bit. Dubbed “Sky Fortress”, the first piece of content will introduce a big old floating airbase loaded with drones that begin to cause all sorts of issues on the island. With tons of airborne enemies, it’s a good thing that Rico gets a new “rocket-powered, weaponised ‘Bavarium Wingsuit’ fitted with shoulder mounted machine guns and auto targeting missiles”. I’ll take TWO of them.

This first portion of DLC will hit sometime in March. After that, the game will get the “Land” portion of the Season Pass in a piece of DLC called “Land Mech Assualt”. They had me at “mech”. Yep, a mech with shooty bits and big stompy feet will be added to Just Cause 3. Oh, it’ll also have a gravity gun, because WHY THE HELL NOT?

Check out a trailer for Sky Fortress below. The final piece of “Sea” themed DLC will be revealed at a later stage, but all the DLC is scheduled to be out by the end of our Winter time in SA. Each piece of DLC can be bought individually for $11.99 a pop. Alternatively you can grab the “Air, Land and Sea Expansion Pass” for $24.99, which saves you $10.98 and also gets you access to the DLC a week before anyone else. The other neat bit about the additional vehicles, weapons, and toys that Rico gets in the DLC, is that they’ll all be available in the main game as well. Hooray!

We were rather partial to the wanton destruction to be found in Just Cause 3. You can read Dane’s review over here.
