Strafe’s emotional new trailer is pretty great and you should watch it

You probably remember Strafe as “that fun-looking, hilariously bloody FPS with the amazing ’90s-infused trailer that went on to collect a fat stack of sweet, sweet Kickstarter money“. Since its Kickstarter campaign came to a close I’ve not paid much attention to the game, though it does pop into my mind for a cup of brain-tea every once in a while.

It’s now once again viciously roaming the halls of my mind with a shotgun and a sadistic smile, because its creators have released a new trailer to commemorate the first anniversary of their successful Kickstarter. Come, see.

If you’re having a gloomy Monday, that’s just the sort of thing to turn them frowns upside down. The first thing it made me think of was the Mad World trailer for the original Gears of War. I’m far too tired to wonder if that means anything, but I thought I’d say it anyway.

If you’re keen to see how Strafe actually looks in action, I’ll leave a six-minute gameplay video from last year’s E3 below. The game’s due for release on PC either later this year or early next year.
