An anonymous user over on Reddit claiming a “source in the know” has leaked a some Titanfall sequel info, including an October 2016 launch date, plus bigger multiplayer maps and a grappling hook for “getting into your Titan, aiding free-running, or tactical plays such as pulling enemies while they’re midair”. Dial Hype-O-Trons to maximum, commander.
The post has been subsequently deleted, but the internet is forever, and Polygon managed to grab the goodies in time. There’s also some artwork – allegedly part of which will be the game’s box artwork – featuring what looks like a wall-running Titan (!) and a bunch of Starship Troopers extras.
If you missed it, a teaser trailer for Titanfall 2 was released back in April with a lank kiff Seffriken eksent, promising a “worldwide reveal” on 12 June – presumably during EA’s E3 presser.
The first Titanfall was one of the best ever multiplayer FPSes that nobody played, although the questionable cancellation of an official local launch was part of that instantly regrettable catastrophe.
