New Call of Cthulhu game gets an E3 trailer, makes you fear the unknown

CoC E3 trailer

Any H.P. Lovecraft fans out there? Of course there are.

Well good news! The latest Call of Cthulhu game announced back in February has received a dark and ominous trailer. Spooky. The game will be out sometime next year, and if the recently released E3 trailer is anything to go by, we’re in for some seriously cool Lovecraftian horror. The trailer and some gory details after the jump.

While the trailer doesn’t show off any actual gameplay footage, the video’s description does give us a glimpse of what we can expect from developer Cyanide Studio’s upcoming “RPG-Investigation title.”  It also gives us a look at the game’s protagonist, Edward Pierce, “a former veteran and private investigator in 1920s Boston”.

The description reads: “Developed for consoles and PC by Cyanide Studio in Paris, Call of Cthulhu will offer an RPG-Investigation title, packed with psychological horror and stealth mechanics. Cyanide Studios brings to life a disturbing world that players will have to explore and investigate while Cthulhu, the Great Dreamer, prepares its awakening.”
