You know what we didn’t see at E3 (… again) this year? Beyond Good & Evil 2. You know why? Because it’s never coming out, ever, but Ubisoft wants to play let’s pretend a bit longer just so it hurts even more when they eventually announce in 10 years that, no, it’s never coming out, ever. In an interview with YouTube Live, Ubisoft boss Yves Guillemot told Geoff Keighley with a totally straight face that “it’s still on the way. It’s something that at one point you will see, yes.”
Asked if the game is actually even in current development, Guillemot added that, “it’s difficult to say actually. Michel [Ancel, developer] is working on it but he’s doing two games at the same time – he’s doing Wild at the same time. It’s coming along but he has to spend more time on it so we can see it faster.”

For really real and for truly this time, you guys. Maybe. But probably not. The thing about being a pessimist is that you get to be happily surprised when things actually happen. It doesn’t work like that the other way around.
