Home ARCHIVE Big PSN sale for Japanese titlesMatthew Fick·30 June 2016 Over on the PlayStation Store, more than 360 items (games, DLC and expansions) with a distinctly Japanese flavour have received hefty discounts. These discounts go as high as 70% off and the catalogue ranges from PS2 classics to recent releases. Up for sale is most of the Souls franchise: Dark Souls III is 33% off at R599, Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin is 71% off at R299, and Demon’s Souls is just R87 on PS3. Following the announcement of Resident Evil 7, every title in the franchise except RE5 has been marked down. The remastered Resident Evil and Resident Evil 0 are R119 and R150 respectively. Resident Evil 1, 2, 3, and 4 are all below R100 for PS3. Two other franchises with big discounts are Final Fantasy and Metal Gear Solid. MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV has been slashed 47% to R349, and the rest of the library, including titles from PS1, PS3, and PSP, have all been heftily marked down. If tactical espionage action is more your thing, MGS V: The Phantom Pain is going for R299 and the MGS HD Collection is selling for R175. Other highlights include Street Fighter V at R549, Gravity Rush Remastered for R218, and a whole bunch of PS2 classics like Rogue Galaxy, The Mark of Kri and Dark Chronicle for R99 each. The sale runs until July 7.
