A week ahead of its expected 19 July launch date, Sony San Diego’s PS4-exclusive Kill Strain has jumped out of the dark and onto the PlayStation Store. First announced back in 2014, it’s a asymmetrical, twin-stick shooter, MOBAish rumble-in-the-jungle that has not two, but three teams bashing it out for the big win.
“While two teams of five human mercenaries try to blow each other’s bases to bits, a third team of two ravenous mutants arrives to spoil the party,” reads the blurb. “Any mercenaries careless enough to end up isolated can be turned into a mutant permanently, thus shifting the balance for the rest of the match.”
It’s basically Evolve on drugs.
It’s also totally free, so why not? Exactly.
