The Dead Island studio is working on a… farm sim

Oh, I get it. Because zombies come out of the ground. And so do crops. When you think about it, plants are actually seed zombies. Kind of. Maybe don’t think about it. Anyway, Techland and Polish developer Ice Flames have teamed up to cultivate Pure Farming 17, a “complete farming experience”. Featuring seed zombies.

Stop trying to make “seed zombies” happen, Tarryn.

“We realise there are a lot of farming sims out there already, but the more we looked the more we realised they all seemed to fall short on certain features or ideas that are actually integral in real farming,” said Pure Farming lead and Techland producer Kornel Jaskula.

“And the fans have been saying this for years, telling developers what they would love to see included. With Pure Farming, we’re aiming to be the ones who deliver on what has been missing all these years. ”

The game will be showcased at Gamescom later this month, but here’s a teaser trailer in the meantime.
