RetroEpic Software, a game development team based in Cape Town, have just submitted A Day in the Woods to Steam Greenlight. It’s a charming tile-sliding puzzle game based around the Red Riding Hood fable.

A Day in the Woods was originally released for PC in 2011, and then for iOS and Android in 2015. The game was well-received, earning awards for both the PC and mobile versions. RetroEpic now wants to expand the game’s potential audience by launching it via Steam, and you can help by casting your votes on its Greenlight page.

A Day in the Woods has been streamlined and updated for Steam. It features 60 levels and a host of customisation options, all packaged in a gorgeous visual style. Check out the trailer below to get a feel for its whimsical charm:

If you want to support local game development and help get the game on Steam, head over to A Day in the WoodsGreenlight page and give it your vote.
