A wild fan-made Pokémon game appears!

In development for nearly a decade, Pokémon Uranium has just been released for PC. This fan-made game is entirely free, taking players on a journey through the Tandor Region and bringing in 150 all-new “Fakémon”.

The game was largely built by JV and Involuntary Twitch, and it’s been in the making for nine years. The website says the game hopes to “recapture the classic Pokémon experience along with some added twists”. These include a customised UI for PC, a Trainer Test at the start of the game, side-quests, a built-in Nuzlocke Mode, and the Nuclear type with its own move-set and Eeveelution.

Given that Nintendo typically takes down fan-made games quickly, it’s best you download this right away if you’re interested. There’s also a highly comprehensive Wiki for the game.
