My girlfriend tells me the first Dishonored was AWESOME. I wouldn’t really know since I just watched her play most of it, because reasons. Maybe I’ll have a go at it myself before Dishonored 2 launches.
In the meantime, Bethesda wants us to stare at more footage of the game, which is looking like an absolute blast. The trailer focuses on Corvo Attano, many years after the events of Dishonored. It sees him using cool new abilities and some old favourites in order to exact righteous vengeance.
“Fifteen years after the events of the first game, the Royal Protector Corvo Attano is back in action, and it looks like he’s just gotten better (and stronger) with age,” reads the video’s description.
Players can expect to see the return of some of Corvo’s most useful abilities, such as Blink, Possession and Bend Time, which have been beefed up considerably for the new release. “Corvo’s Blink ability now allows you to pause time as you choose your destination. Possession can be chained from host to host, allowing Corvo to slip through an area unnoticed in a completely new way. Bend Time lets you completely control the flow of time, slowing and advancing it as you need.”
Players will be given the choice of playing as Corvo, or “the regal yet lethal Empress Emily Kaldwin” in Dishonored 2, which is due for PC, PS4 and XBO on 11 November. You can totally beat Dishonored 2 without killing folk, if that’s your kind of thing.
