The Call of Duty MAG Cup Celebrity Challenge at rAge will feature local musos AKA and Jack Parow


Wrapping up the country’s first ever eSports Branding Summit and starting off the R120,000 Call of Duty World League Monster Astro Gaming Cup Championship, Megarom have announced a Celebrity Challenge event featuring local hip-hop star AKA and rapper Jack Parow. Double whammy!

The Celebrity Challenge is happening on 7 October at 13:30, and will see two teams battling it out for the big win:

“Team Red will feature musician Jack Parow, comedian Jason Goliath and rugby player Rohan Janse van  Rensburg, with team captain being  Ismail “Jakez” Jacobs from eN_Astra. Team Blue will be led by Insane Gaming’s Kaelin “Tanker” Govender and will feature journalist Pippa Tshabalala, musician AKA and comedian Deep Fried Man,” says the press release.

“The match will be played out in front of a live audience on the MAG Cup stage at rAge on 7 October 2016 from 1:30pm, and will also be streamed live to those not able to attend the expo at the Ticketpro Dome.”

Fans can already get involved by choosing sides and posting about it on social media, with an exclusive hamper sponsored by Monster Energy, ASTRO Gaming, KontrolFreek,  Always On and NAG up for grabs. To participate, simply declare your allegiance with this message on Twitter or Facebook:
