Here’s 20 minutes of Gears of War 4’s prologue, a trip down horrifying memory lane

Here’s a fun fact, It’s my birthday tomorrow! Do you know what I’d really like for my birthday? Did you guess exactly R7,499? If you did, congratulations, you win… nothing. Not a single thing. Why such an exact number, you ask? Well, because for that amount of money, I could grab a brand new Nvidia GTX 1070 that comes with a free copy of Gears of War 4!
But if we’re being realistic, I could probably settle for just Gears 4, the game looks like a friggin’ masterpiece. But for those of you still on the fence about getting it when it launches next month, allow me to direct you to a new video showcasing the first 20 minutes or so of the game’s campaign.
The video starts off with two bearded men talking about things, which I skipped because I’m a rebel like that (and because I’m couldn’t wait one more minute to check out the new footage), and then cuts to Gears 4‘s prologue. The prologue seems to serve mostly as a reminder of what had been accomplished over the course of the previous games, and it does this by way of playable flashbacks that put your right back into the action.
Gears of War 4 will be available on 11 October for PC and XBO, but will be playable for those who bought the Ultimate Edition on 7 October.
