The Ubisoft booth at rAge 2016 was a massive hit with attendees thanks to playable demos for South Park: The Fractured but Whole, For Honor, and a winter sports game called Steep. I’ll admit, I only played Steep for a total of 30 seconds (mainly because people were watching and I was embarrassing myself), but those 30 seconds were pretty rad.
Well, it looks like I’ll have the chance to get some more intimate hands-on time with the game when it enters open beta next month on all platforms. Details below.
Steep lets players don wingsuits, skis, snowboards, and oversized kites in order to traverse all sorts of obstacles in the game’s fairly sizeable open-world set in the Alps.
The open beta will be… open from 18 to 21 November for PC, XBO, and PS4, and you can register for it right here. But don’t take too long, as early enlisters will be given the opportunity to grab early access to the beta which runs from 10 to 14 November.
Steep will be pizza and french frying onto PC, XBO, and PS4 on 2 December.
