Have you played Stardew Valley yet? I have, for 115 hours according to Steam, and you really should too. If you’ve been holding out for a console release, your wait is almost over. In a post on the Stardew Valley website, it’s been announced that the game will be coming to PS4 and Xbox One this December.
According to developer ConcernedApe, who developed the game solo, Stardew Valley will be available on consoles on 14 December 2016. If you’re reading this in America, then you can play it a day earlier on PS4. Unfortunately, the Wii U version is being put to pasture, and development will instead focus on the Nintendo Switch.
Stardew Valley is a retro-themed rural life simulator. You inherit your late grandfather’s old farm, and must turn it into a profitable venture. There’s crafting, dungeon-crawling, and wooing of the local singles. If you’re part of the PC Master Race, consider getting Stardew Valley on Steam. It’s by far one of the most relaxing and rewarding games I’ve played.
