New Epson full HD and 4K 3LCD projectors launch

Epson has launched an exciting range of full HD and 4K-ready 3LCD projectors designed to create immersive home theatre experiences for households of any size.

As the world’s number one projector brand for 15 years and one of the first to introduce 3LCD technology, Epson promises a crystal-clear and detail-enhanced viewing experience for film fanatics, sports lovers, gamers and tech enthusiasts alike, suitable for a variety of home environments.

Three models were showcased to NAG at the launch:

  • EH-TW6700
  • EH-TW7300
  • EH-TW9300

The EH-TW6700 has a 70,000:1 contrast ratio, and combines all the features of high-end projector models into a more attractively-priced package, turning even the most compact spaces into gaming, sport and movie havens.

Wi-Fi capability and MHL (Mobile High-Definition Link) allows users to stream content to the projector from a tablet or smartphone, converting said content to a higher resolution on a large screen.

The EH-TW7300 and EH-TW9300 models take full advantage of large spaces by creating a deluxe home theatre experience with 4K-enhanced projection. Features such as fully motorised optics, lens shift functionality, frame interpolation, detail enhancement and a 1,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio allow for more fluid graphics, vivid colours and less blur.

“As the first global brand to introduce a range of 3LCD projectors that support 4K-enhanced technology and High Dynamic Range (HDR) playback, Epson continues to position itself as a world-leader in projection technology and innovation,” says Timothy Wilson, VI Product Manager at Epson South Africa.

“Epson’s 4K-enhanced projectors are designed to create incredible big-screen experiences in homes of virtually any size, making home-cinema experiences accessible to all users, which is a remarkable achievement for us and for the projector industry. We believe this will significantly impact how consumers think about their home viewing experiences.”
