The thing is, I haven’t finished my review. Because I haven’t finished the game. I’ve clocked, like, 50 hours already, and I’m still busy licking things in The Bloom to see what happens. In the meantime, though, I can tell you that inXile’s eccentric sci-fi fantasy RPG is kind of magnificent. It’s not entirely without its problems, but it’s marvellously bizarre, charmingly grotesque, and does its legacy very proud – an intimidating prospect for a game marketed as a spiritual successor to Black Isle’s transcendent Planescape: Torment.
