Styx: Shards of Darkness is out today, launch trailer takes a stab at Assassin’s Creed

I like to think that I’m relatively well informed about new game releases, especially considering it’s my job to annoy Tarryn and Dane know about things like that. But I can honestly say that I’ve never heard of Cyanide Studio’s Styx: Shards of Darkness, which is a shame really because its launch trailer is refreshingly snarky.

Styx: Shards of Darkness is the sequel to another game I’d never heard of, and will see players “take control of agile goblin thief Styx, as he assassinates, sneaks and snarks his way across an immense, dark fantasy world filled with deadly secrets and enemies.” It sounds a little like Assassin’s Creed, minus the goblin part, and according to the trailer, minus the “stupid white tabard and a hoody.” SICK BURN.

The game is out right now on PS4 and XBO, as well as on PC through Steam where it’ll cost you R449.95 (10% timed discount).
