Telltale’s Guardians of the Galaxy will be out next month

I haven’t paid all that much attention to Telltale’s games after the masterpiece that was the first season of The Walking Dead completely blew me away, but I’m betting that’ll change pretty quickly when the developer’s take on Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy launches.

We first found out about the game via a leak back in November last year, and Telltale has since released information about its voice actors and cast, as well as a pretty sweet synopsis. Thanks to an update on the developer’s blog, we now also know when we’ll be able to get our hands on the game’s first episode.

According to the blurb, the game will sport five episodes, the first of which is titled Tangled Up in Blue and will release onto PS4, XBO, PC, and mobile platforms on 18 April. It’ll cost you $4.99 (or roughly R66). Those of you who prefer full, physical game copies are kind of out of luck. While a disc will become available starting on 5 May, it’ll only include the game’s first episode along with a season pass that’ll let you download the other episodes as they’re released.

The post also mentions that a trailer for the game will go live sometime tomorrow (30 March).
