Giblets: Prey demo for consoles is now live on PS4 and Xbox One

If you’re looking at this title for the first time and wondering if it’s anything like the first Prey, the answer is that it both is and isn’t. Developed by Arkane Studios and published by Bethesda, this is a re-imagining of the now decade-old classic, but now with a very Dead Space-esque look and feel to the gameplay (the trailer of which you can watch here). It is also a bit like System Shock in some ways, notably how the story line can be completed in several different ways, and there’s a little bit of a Metroidvania soul to it as well.

If you want to have a crack at Prey, you can download the demo for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One today. The original is absurdly difficult to get hold of these days, but most copies of the game out there do not have DRM, so it can be bought second-hand and then linked to your Steam account. The game also appeared on Xbox 360, and it plays fairly well on that platform.
