Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is getting remastered versions of the best Zombies maps

I can still remember the shock and excitement of unlocking the original Nazi Zombies mode in Call of Duty: World at War, and how unbelievably fun and challenging it was. I also remember the in-depth strategy guides NAG included in the magazine (RIP), and how I spent weeks on end trying to get to a higher round than whoever wrote them. I still haven’t. But, it looks like I’ll get to have another go soon, only this time in Call of Duty: Black Ops 3.

That’s right, Treyarch has finally confirmed that Zombies Chronicles is a thing that’s happening and that it’ll bring eight updated classic maps along with it.

There have been quite a few rumours surrounding this particular bit of Blops 3 DLC, but its existence was only recently confirmed by Treyarch producer Jason Blundell in a lengthy video posted by YouTuber JCbackfire. It features a lot of talking and some awkwardness, so let’s just have a look at the important bits.

The eight maps that will be included in the Zombies Chronicles pack are Nacht der Untoten, Kino der Toten, Shangri-la, Shi no Numa, Moon, Ascension, Verrückt and Origins. The pack will go live on PS4 first on 16 May. More details will be released over the coming days, but for now, there’s a full zombies timeline thing on display on the game’s official website.

A price, and release date for other platforms is yet to be revealed.
