Because that is totally my kind of thing, and I can’t think of a space colony game that’s launched since, uh, Space Colony in 2003 (but there probably is, and I don’t know about that one either). Klei Entertainment’s Oxygen Not Included was apparently announced at E3 last year and an alpha version has been available since February, and I’d never even heard of it. Dane, fire me. Now hire me back. Okay, I’ve learned my lesson.
“Oxygen Not Included is a space-colony simulation game. Manage your colonists and help them dig, build and maintain a subterranean asteroid base,” reads the product blurb. “You’ll need water, warmth, food, and oxygen to keep them alive, and even more than that to keep them happy.”
Even more than that, huh? I bet a grossly incompetent, somewhat (very) despotic space colony supervisor would work. Maybe that’s just me.
