Giblets: Overkill’s The Walking Dead game is delayed (again)

First announced back in 2014, Overkill Software’s combo co-op-FPS-RPG-survival-horror-shamble-’em-up adaptation of The Walking Dead was supposed to launch in 2016, then 2017, and now it’s been pushed to the second half of 2018. Maybe. Then in 2025 I can write a super clever headline about the game coming back from the dead with a launch date expected in 2030. According to the announcement on publisher Starbreeze’s website, the game is delayed so that “it can reach its full potential”, and by that time, it’ll probably have full-body VR with authentic disembowelling simulation tech so the decision makes sense.

In the meantime, though, you can tune into the company’s Twitch channel on 10 May for “an insight into the development” of the game.
