Bungie’s incomprehensible decision to write up most of Destiny‘s important info in so-called “Grimoire Cards” that weren’t even accessible in the game has been vetoed in the sequel, apparently, with that sort of thing incorporated into the game instead where it’s actually, you know, useful. Innovation!
Asked if the Grimoire Cards would be back this time in an interview with Forbes, Destiny 2 designer Steve Cotton explained what’s what.
“The answer to that question is ‘no’ and the reason it’s ‘no’ is because we want to put the lore in the game,” Cotton said. “We want people to be able to find the lore. All the story is told through the Adventures, it’s told through the characters in the world, it’s told through the campaign and it’s told through scannables you find throughout the world.”
The more I find out about Destiny 2, the more I’m hyped about it. But obviously I’m hyped about it anyway because I’m NAG’s resident Destiny junkie, and I need this fix so bad. In the meantime, though, here’s 10 things you need to know about the game and how I could’ve invented Twitch.
