The studio launched its official Japanese Twitter account yesterday with some Bayonetta artwork by game designer Yusuke Hashimoto. In what might be an extravagant conspiracy or a complete coincidence, however, the image’s prominent red and blue colour scheme matches the Switch’s JoyCon controller colours. Kind of. I mean, it’s not actually the same shade of blue, or even close, and the “red” JoyCon looks more orange than red to me, but maybe I’m overthinking it.
First released on Xbox 360 and PS3 in 2009, Bayonetta was subsequently ported for the Wii U five years later, and its sequel was an exclusive on Nintendo’s console. Whether or not this is a tease, a Switch version of the game is probably inevitable anyway.
