The Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm will always have a special place in my heart. Not just because they’re great adaptations of a popular anime, but because one of the first games I ever reviewed for NAG Magazine was Ultimate Ninja Storm 3. I felt it was a huge honour, but I’m betting they were just handing off the “weird anime game” to the junior freelancer. Anyway, the entirety of the Ultimate Ninja Storm series is getting the remaster treatment, and coming soon to modern systems.
The remasters will be offered in one of two packs. The larger is Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Legacy, which bundles all four games spanning the entirety of the non-filler Naruto storyline, including Ultimate Ninja Storm, Ultimate Ninja Storm 2, Ultimate Ninja Storm 3: Full Burst, and Ultimate Ninja Storm 4: Road to Boruto. The pack will be available for PC, PS4, and XBO, and the console editions will ship with a metal case and an art book.
Also launching on 25 August for PC, PS4, and XBO is Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Trilogy. Only available as a digital purchase, this pack will exclude Ultimate Ninja Storm 4. This offering will likely appeal to players who already own the fourth title on modern systems, and just want the remasters of the previous generation games. Both packs will also include all the previously released costumes and extra scenarios for each game.
