Greetings NAGixians, and thanks for coming back for This Week In Gaming. I skipped off for the weekend, but wanted to sneak in your quick-n-dirty look at events of the past week, in ultra-lazy video form for the end of weekend blues and general lethargy. Have a great week fellow nerds.
Black the Fall is a newly released bleak platformer that seeks to realise the harsh realities of living in an impressive communist dystopia; shades of Inside in this one.
XCOM 2 is getting a pretty massive expansion in the way of War of the Chosen, and now you can see 80 minutes of it.
Empyre: Lords of the Sea Gates is a cool looking isometric RPG that somehow meshes together early 1900s New York and Waterworld. This one may very well be worth your time.
Star Wars Battlefront 2 also got a new video this week, this one giving a behind the scenes of sorts of the game’s campaign, which we’ve seen very little of.
For something a little different, that Eurogamer guy cooks Sloop, a pretty disgusting sounding broth for the common man found in Thief.
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is a fight-to-the-death, no limit free-for-all. Normally. These 50 pacifists however decided to call a truce and have as much fun as they could without murdering each other.
Serial Cleaner is a unique new indie that has you cleaning crime scenes while evading the police. It’s sort of like Viserca Cleanup Detail mixed with Commandos.
Tooth and Tail is attempting to revive the tired RTS genre with a unique theme – tiny animals with guns, ala Redwall. It may not be for the hardcore strategist, but it does look fun. The game releases September 12, but in the meantime you can check out this trailer.
Starcraft Remastered is near, and to build up to the game’s release Blizzard is putting out a series of videos. This first one looks at the development of the original Starcraft, and it’s pretty great.
Destiny 2 has a new Crucible map called Vostok, and Bungie was happy to show it off this week.
