We already know that Bethesda has about a million unannounced projects in the works – okay, five – one of which is a “bleeding-edge AAA freemium game“, and one (other?) of which is apparently scheduled to launch in 2017 and that’s kind of like… now. I mean, we’re a week into September, and I’ve seen Christmas decorations in the shops. So it’s almost February.
But what is it? Bethesda prez Pete Hines isn’t telling. Obviously.
“We have nine games hands-on here, all of which are, like, either coming out this year or are already out. So we have three VR titles, including Skyrim for PSVR, we have Skyrim Switch, we’ve got Wolfenstein 2 and The Evil Within 2, and Quake Champions free-to-play, and Elder Scrolls Legends free-to-play, and Elder Scrolls Online and Dishonored – we have a ton of stuff going on,” he told Tek Syndicate at PAX West over the weekend.
“We even have a game coming out this year that we haven’t even told anyone about yet. They can wait, it won’t be so long.”
It’s probably not Fallout Online, as I’ve previously predicted, because I’d expect that would have much more marketing than this, but something like Fallout Shelter with one of the company’s other properties? Maybe. Fallout Online is totally going to be a thing, though.
