Ubisoft has announced an open beta for the upcoming Ghost War team-based competitive versus multiplayer mode, coming to PS4, Xbox One, and PC from 21 – 25 September. The timing couldn’t be better – Ghost Recon: Wildlands’ campaign is high octane stuff, but it’s getting tired. Fast.
Ghost War is all about 4v4 class-based murder, with the final product offering twelve unique specialisations (six available for the beta) to choose from, including Marksman, Assault, and Support classes. Expect large open terrain, lots of hiding in bushes, and naturally lots of shooting your friends in the face.
Leading up to the open beta – and by open I mean really open, since you don’t need to own Ghost Recon: Wildlands to participate – Ghost War will be available to pre-load from 19 September. Ubisoft doesn’t seem to have nailed down a release date for the update proper, but it’s shaping up to be ready to roll before the end of the year.
